About Our Client
Our client is a privately held contract manufacturing firm specializing in tailored solutions. Their advanced manufacturing facility is home to approximately 200 dedicated professionals.

Position Overview
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Design and refine workstations to reduce material transit and boost overall efficiency.
  • Develop and execute enhanced material handling and distribution techniques to decrease labor intensity and mitigate poor ergonomic practices.
  • Utilize time and motion analysis tools to assess staffing requirements and balance workloads within work cells.
  • Create standard operating procedures for each operator role by SKU or product category, ensuring that documentation is straightforward for training a diverse production workforce.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to devise automation strategies.
  • Identify and implement standard ergonomic evaluation tools to improve workstation design and lower injury risks.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product structure, including bills of materials and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Process Engineer role will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience; candidates outside this range may also be considered.
  • Proven expertise in Process Engineering.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as DMAIC, PGMEA, Six Sigma, and/or DOE.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with DMAIC, PFMEA, Solidworks, Tableau, Value Stream Mapping, 8D, and Process Mapping.
