The Contingent Plan is seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team in the Providence area. This is a temporary assignment that is expected to last 3 months. The position is onsite, so we are only considering local candidates at this time. This is an immediate need, so we will move quickly with candidates. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physician's offices to determine requirements and schedule hospital staff and facilities.
- Gather, enter, and maintain personal and financial information in a database, complete preliminary paperwork for admissions processing, and compile computerized data for monthly reports.
- Obtain surgical information from physician's offices/physicians to properly schedule surgical procedures and pre-admission testing.
- Gather patient financial information to ensure proper payment of hospital services provided. Complete all necessary forms and procedures for patient admission.
- Compile information and prepare routine reports as instructed.
- Demonstrate competent use of computer programs utilized in job responsibilities.
- Participate in functions to achieve overall department goals and objectives.
- Protect patients' rights to confidentiality.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or at least two years of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, third-party payers, and various computer applications is highly desirable.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in the English language is required; fluency in Spanish as a second language is very helpful.
- The OR Scheduler coordinates scheduling for surgical procedures and preadmission testing utilizing the computerized OR scheduling system.
- Please note Flu Shot and Biavlent Booster are Required.
- Able to provide 2 professional references and to clear any required background checks.
