Career Network Coordinator Job Description

The Career Network Coordinator plays a vital role in the Career and Life Design team at Brown University, supporting career connections between students and alumni. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing a student-alumni career program, ensuring a positive experience for all participants. The Coordinator will work closely with the Dean of the College, the Career Center for Exploration, and the Alumni Relations and Development offices to develop and maintain a network of Brown alumni, parents, family, and friends who give time, talent, and expertise to students through career-oriented engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate outreach efforts to students and alumni
* Develop and implement program strategies to achieve career connections
* Collaborate with team members to market programs and develop user experience guides
* Manage communications and codify informative data to aid the team in building, measuring, and planning alumni engagement

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in development, customer relations, career programming or advising, event planning, and support
* Demonstrated experience and success in project coordination and event planning
* Working knowledge of the Windows environment, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, electronic mail and calendars, mainframe, and internet/HTML
* Administrative experience with job boards and career/networking/mentoring platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in higher education or non-profit settings
* Direct experience with volunteer management and knowledge of Brown University
