Who We Seek:

Security-Cleared Expert: You possess an active Top Secret security clearance, demonstrating your reliability and trustworthiness in the intelligence field.

Experienced Professional: With a minimum of 5 years serving as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in a secured environment, you bring at least 7 years of experience in computer science or cybersecurity.

Certified Specialist: You hold relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Security Professional (GISP), or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), showcasing your expertise.

Technologically Proficient: You are adept at utilizing advanced security tools, including Tenable Nessus, IBM Guardium, and Network Mapper (NMAP), demonstrating your passion for cybersecurity.

Educational Background: You have earned a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields, reflecting your commitment to excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily implementation and monitoring of security configurations and practices for information systems.
  • Act as a liaison between system owners and IS security personnel.
  • Ensure the effective operation of selected security controls throughout the information system lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update system security documentation consistently.
  • Conduct necessary vulnerability assessments based on risk evaluations.
  • Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to address identified security vulnerabilities.
  • Manage risks to information systems and coordinate corrective actions, ensuring timely completion of POAMs.
  • Monitor security controls to maintain the security Authorization To Operate (ATO) status.
  • Upload security control evidence to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application for monitoring purposes.
  • Report any changes affecting the authorization status to the system owner and IS Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Coordinate the decommissioning of information systems in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
