Position Overview

R&P Technologies is seeking an Intermediate Cybersecurity Specialist (RMF ISSO) to become a vital part of our team. As a mid-sized defense contractor, we deliver Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, and Technical Services to government clients. We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist who thrives in a dynamic and stimulating work environment. The ideal candidate will provide dedicated support to the Lead System Engineer and Program Protection Lead for advanced radar initiatives within the U.S. Navy. Prior experience in information assurance within the U.S. Navy is essential, as this role involves acting as the Lead Cybersecurity/RMF Analyst responsible for the Authorization and Assessment process under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for both new and existing Navy radar information systems. A hybrid work arrangement is acceptable; however, the candidate must be prepared to work regularly from designated offices and travel occasionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a Cybersecurity RMF Analyst / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Lead initiatives to guide platform information technology systems through the complete life cycle of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to secure or renew Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Develop and maintain the comprehensive security Body of Evidence (BoE) while spearheading the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities in accordance with RMF processes (CNSSI-1253, NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, etc.) for all Advanced Radars information systems.
  • Draft, finalize, and sustain the System Security Plan (SSP), Security Controls, and plan of action and milestones (POA&Ms) within eMASS.
  • Assist in the implementation of cyber policies, artifact development, and updates to requirements.
  • Conduct verification and validation of delivered systems; formulate test plans and procedures.
  • Support the evaluation of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans & Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Effectively communicate risks and issues to the designated Qualified Navy Validator and Functional Authorizing Official.
Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Possess DOD SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Navy information assurance, engineering, or operational support, including familiarity with eMASS and DISA STIGs.
  • Hands-on experience in validating control implementations and testing procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive, dependable, and flexible individual with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to think ahead and solve problems proactively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an acquisition program office environment, with knowledge of documentation, protocols, formats, and deadlines.
