Job Summary

The Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for assisting in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and monthly financial close. You will also assist in managing accounting, bookkeeping, and general office procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of general ledger, accounts payable, and inventory, including reconciliation of schedules.
  • Assist in general ledger maintenance and ensure that necessary controls are in place to safeguard dealership assets.
  • Perform other general office duties as needed and assist in all areas of operation as requested by management.
  • Maintain CSI at or above company standards and ensure that annual external audit requirements are met.
  • Assist in training and supervising office staff, reinforce company policies, and adhere to company standards.
  • Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations and assist in preparation of annual budget.
  • Maintain effective employee relations, promote and maintain good employee satisfaction, and ensure that necessary controls are in place to safeguard dealership assets.
Requirements
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions and solve problems.
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and dealership personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Proficient in required mathematical skills, including ability to handle accounts payable.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and dealership personnel.
Work Environment

Duties are performed primarily in the dealership office. Work includes several hours a day analyzing financial records of the dealership, posting accounts, and performing other administrative tasks. The office manager frequently interacts with other employees and members of management.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of computer systems and proficient keyboard skills.
