Supervisor, Aquatics

The Supervisor, Aquatics supports program instruction staff and the swim programs such as group swim lessons, swim team and pre-compete by performing a variety of supervisory, administrative, sales and customer service functions, as well as monthly meetings and trainings.
Schedule
- Varied during the week and includes working Sundays.
Essential Functions
- Hire and manage swim instructor schedules and communication
- Work with Aquatics Manager to oversee and assist with American Red Cross group lessons
- Develop and manage more functional and efficient process for managing year-round program staff
- Assist in updating the live pool calendar
- Provide monthly training for swim instructor staff and biweekly training for summer swim instructor staff
- Serve as an aid to teaching and training new program instructors
- Learn and use technology and software for customer relationship management; communication; sale; accounting; and human resources management
- Maintain an instructor staff database with current certifications and metrics ratings
- Maintain cleanliness, program quality, and overall safety in aquatics area, including minor pool maintenance and basic chemical handling
- Assist with responding to phone calls for enrollment, or voucher purchases, etc.
- Provide coverage of direct service when other staff are unavailable
- Assist with summer prep, both physical set up needs and administrative needs

- Must be American Red Cross certified in Lifeguarding First Aid/AED/CPR
- Must be Water Safety Instructor certified through the American Red Cross
- Willing to attend a Water Safety Instructor Trainer academy within a year of employment
- Willing to become CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certified
- Must be 18 years of age
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Able to learn and use a variety of software programs
- Able to provide exemplary customer service in-person, on the phone and via email
- Able to perform tasks that require attention to detail and accuracy
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to complete the LG pre-course skills: 300 swim, 20 yrd brick test, 2 minutes of treading
- Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
