Technical Training Specialist

LOCATION: Mount Vernon, OH, USA

Ariel Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled technical educator to enhance our Customer Training and Development team. This position is dedicated to delivering exceptional technical instruction to our clients who oversee the operation and maintenance of over 70,000 Ariel compressors globally.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about machinery and have a desire to teach others how to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment. You will utilize adult-learning methodologies to convey mechanical principles in a straightforward and comprehensible manner, ensuring that participants leave with a fulfilling educational experience at Ariel. The training format includes classroom instruction where theoretical knowledge is imparted, followed by hands-on practice in our state-of-the-art indoor laboratories for an immersive learning experience.

As our product innovations progress and new components are introduced, this position will also contribute to the creation of new training programs to be integrated into our curriculum. A strong mechanical understanding, adaptability to diverse learning preferences, and a commitment to ongoing education are essential for thriving in this role on a daily basis.

Ariel's customer training primarily occurs in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Additionally, we provide on-site training at client locations or through our Mobile Training Lab (MTL), which may require occasional domestic travel.

Comprehensive onboarding training is available to prepare you for this role, covering a wide range of mechanical and engineering concepts.

Key Responsibilities / Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or technical environment required
  • Prior exposure to the compression industry is advantageous
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications is necessary
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective communication with enthusiasm, passion, and integrity is crucial
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Experience in designing, facilitating, and managing training programs for 1-3 years is preferred
