Qualifications
- Current CT Certification/Licensure (LCSW) or equivalent from another state is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an elementary educational setting is necessary.
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher is mandatory.
- Proven behavioral and therapeutic skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate academic challenges, considering influences from school, home, and community that may hinder student success.
- Act as a bridge between families and the educational institution regarding the child's academic and emotional development.
- Design and implement effective intervention strategies, including a variety of therapeutic services for students and their families.
- Collaborate with educational staff and other professionals to address factors affecting student performance.
- Participate in school and district committees to address the emotional, social, and behavioral needs of students, focusing on evidence-based service delivery.
- Conduct home visits as necessary to foster communication and collaboration regarding identified student concerns.
- Serve as a liaison with community organizations to enhance communication between parents/guardians and the school, mobilizing resources to support educational outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary is based on experience and qualifications, ranging from $52,205 to $127,712.
