Qualifications

  • Current CT Certification/Licensure (LCSW) or equivalent from another state is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an elementary school setting is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher is mandatory.
  • Strong behavioral and therapeutic skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate sources of academic challenges, including influences from the school, home, and community that hinder educational success.
  • Act as a bridge between families and the school regarding the child's educational requirements and social-emotional development.
  • Develop and implement suitable intervention strategies, incorporating a variety of therapeutic services for students and their families.
  • Collaborate with school personnel and other educational professionals to address factors affecting student performance.
  • Participate in school-based and system-wide committees to tackle students' emotional, social, and behavioral needs, emphasizing evidence-based service provision.
  • Conduct home visits as necessary to enhance home-school communication and collaboration concerning identified student concerns.
  • Serve as a liaison with community organizations and agencies to promote communication between parents/guardians and schools, mobilizing resources to support educational achievement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary is based on experience and qualifications, ranging from $52,205 to $127,712.
