Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams to implement effective strategies that support the success of all learners.
  • Plan thoughtfully to create opportunities for students to construct meaning and develop a deep understanding of new concepts.
  • Utilize developmentally appropriate and challenging curricula and instructional materials aligned with benchmarks and Common Core standards.
  • Introduce students to new ideas and concepts through diverse strategies, inspiring them to explore and express their own ideas.
  • Administer, collect, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from various assessments to understand each student's needs.
  • Build strong relationships with students' families through regular communication regarding their progress and provide guidance on how families can support their children's learning.
  • Engage in school-wide assessments to identify and address students' needs.
  • Supervise lunch and/or recess periods.
  • Provide coverage for classroom teachers as needed.
  • Offer additional support to the school community as required.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • A strong desire to enhance classroom expertise in preparation for a lead teaching role.
  • Currently pursuing a pathway to teaching certification.
  • Only candidates meeting these qualifications will be considered.
