Business Development Representative

Job SummaryThe Business Development Representative's purpose is to identify and generate sales opportunities and meetings with prospects through outbound calling activities and qualifying inbound leads. This role requires a passion for hunting new business, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Responsibilities- Drive account growth for SHI by profiling, qualifying, and prospecting into new accounts
- Contacting qualified prospects through email touches and phone conversations
- Prospecting within existing customers to expand relationships
- Participation in Sales initiatives and campaigns as an extension to the Sales Team
- Cold calling and uncovering opportunities and meetings
- Coordinate sales efforts and activities with Sales Teams within dedicated territories
- Provide consultation to customers regarding their IT solutions needs
- Drive account growth for SHI by profiling, qualifying, and prospecting into new accounts
- Learn and leverage resources to advance a sales cycle
- Lead follow-up from partner events and trade shows
- Actively staying on top of company, competition, and technology knowledge
- Consistently achieve or exceed activity and sales goals
- Gain industry knowledge through product and technology trainings
- Completed Bachelor's Degree (College/University)
- A passion to hunt for new business (Cold Call)
- Experience managing customers and projects in a Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool
- 1 year sales experience
- Ability to deliver world-class support
- Self-motivated with problem-solving mentality and hunter focus
- Commitment and passion for a career in Sales
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and in a team environment
- Ability to accept feedback and incorporate new strategies and ideas
- Effectively communicate complex subject matter – both verbally and written
- Continue mastering the basic concepts of Professionalism, Sales, and Technology while building your personal brand
- Cold Calling Skills
- Proficiency in business productivity tools (Microsoft) - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Previous sales or business development experience
- Knowledge and understanding of SHI's value propositions
- Proficient in SHI sales tools, (CRM, BI, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
- Understanding of SHI Solution offerings
- Travel is required to all sales events (Kickoff, spring and fall huddles, and Global Sales Conference)
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $40,000 - $80,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
