Role Summary:

The individual in this position will be responsible for delivering HR support and services to our diverse team of Food Bankers, with a particular emphasis on Talent Acquisition. The ideal candidate will possess creativity, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to build trust and relationships. The Food Bank's mission is executed through a capable and dedicated team. As the Talent Acquisition Specialist II, your goal will be to recruit qualified individuals for various roles who resonate with the Food Bank's mission and fit within our culture. Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition and Sourcing:

  • Utilize social media platforms to engage and connect with potential candidates, promoting available positions and enhancing the employer brand.
  • Identify and source candidates through diverse channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate qualifications and suitability for open roles.
  • Oversee the complete recruitment process, from job postings and candidate sourcing to offer negotiations and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of qualified candidates for current and future openings.

Building Relationships:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders to comprehend their hiring needs and priorities.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create job descriptions and define candidate requirements.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process.

Promoting Compliance, Equity, and Inclusivity:

  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to recruitment, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws and data privacy regulations.
  • Implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a diverse workforce and attract candidates from underrepresented groups.
  • Monitor diversity hiring metrics and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop inclusive recruitment practices.

Qualifications Required:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with candidates and internal teams, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Strong capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely and efficient recruitment processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to guarantee accurate documentation and compliance with recruitment procedures.
  • Proficiency in working with CRMs and other platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate with departments to align recruitment efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address recruitment challenges and devise innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of recruitment best practices, including job posting optimization, candidate evaluation techniques, and offer negotiation strategies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and managing offers.
  • Genuine interest in and commitment to the mission of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, focusing on ending hunger and addressing community needs.
