Seasonal Customer Care Specialist
This full-time role is integral to the operations of the ComCare team, focusing on delivering outstanding service to our valued customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specialist serves as a representative of the utility, ensuring that customers receive top-notch and efficient assistance. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating customer needs for support and meticulously documenting all interactions in the customer account records.
- Conducting assessments for eligibility in low-income assistance programs through both in-person and telephone interactions.
- Utilizing various tools and systems, including ComCare Tracker, SAWS, and LIHEAP, to determine eligibility and apply for assistance programs accurately.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of program details and seeking guidance when necessary to apply policies effectively.
- Demonstrating advocacy for customers in a respectful and professional manner.
- Referring customers to additional resources for utility support, housing, food, financial aid, medical services, and other essential needs.
The specialist is expected to engage with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, treating each individual with the utmost respect and dignity.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of three years of general customer service experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Typing proficiency of at least 35 words per minute with minimal errors.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as computers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Preference will be given to those with experience in social services or non-profit organizations.

SALARY RANGE:
The salary for the Seasonal Customer Care Specialist position is competitive and based on market standards, with a target salary midpoint reflecting full competency and satisfactory performance.
