Job Summary:The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling room reservations, and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.
Key Responsibilities:- Check guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, policies, and procedures, as well as tourist information.
- Handle hotel phone system, transferring calls to appropriate departments and taking accurate messages for guests.
- Take, modify, and cancel guestroom reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Deal with guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, coordinating with other departments to fulfill special requests.
- Perform cashier duties, including cashing traveler's checks and posting phone charges and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts.
- Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with guestrooms or grounds.
- Follow in-house procedures to ensure the security of guests and employees, knowing hotel emergency procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Front Office area.
- The hotel operates 24/7, and department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands.
- Employees are required to adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain control and composure in difficult situations and exhibit good judgment.
