Position Summary:

The Senior Taxation Specialist plays a crucial role in the preparation of tax documentation, including returns, provisions, and estimated payments/extensions, while also managing special projects as assigned by senior leadership. This position involves oversight of Tax Analysts and guidance for Interns, reporting directly to the Tax Director.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance: Accurately prepare federal, state, and international tax returns, along with estimated payments and extensions.
  • Tax Provisions: Prepare tax provisions, conduct account reconciliations, and perform necessary data analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Review and analyze income tax data for taxability, reconciliations, and appropriate asset classifications, ensuring correct tax rates are applied.
  • Communication: Effectively convey findings and data to tax management and other stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize tax technology to enhance tax matrices and assist in the development of process improvements and internal controls.
  • Training: Provide training to business partners regarding income tax regulations and support the development of Tax Analysts and Interns.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years focused on direct tax matters.
  • Proficient in technical tools such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster client relationships.
