Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Equipment Specialist to join our team at TriMedx. As a Clinical Laboratory Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of high-end clinical laboratory equipment and laboratory automation systems related to hematology, chemistry, coagulation & histology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on low-end and some high-end laboratory equipment
  • Repair, install, and calibrate low-end and some high-end laboratory equipment
  • Inform supervisors of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any customer concerns
  • Work with, direct, and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery
  • Maintain laboratory expertise through ongoing training and education
  • Assist with Service Operations Special Projects as assigned and contribute to the development of others through mentoring and sharing expertise
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a clinical laboratory or servicing clinical laboratory equipment
  • Experience in working on most low-end clinical laboratory equipment required; some experience working on high-end equipment preferred
  • Problem solving skills to diagnose problems and develop solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid drivers license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site that may require use of personal vehicle
Education and Qualifications
  • 2 year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related field preferred
