Position Title: Sales Floor Associate

Job Overview:

The Sales Floor Associate plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring a welcoming shopping environment. This position involves maintaining the sales area and inventory in an orderly and appealing manner. The associate is responsible for keeping dressing rooms tidy and organized, as well as assisting with cash register operations when necessary. The role also includes meeting production targets set by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor, addressing their inquiries and providing assistance to enhance their shopping experience.
  2. Follow organizational principles and guidelines to ensure a positive workplace.
  3. Achieve and surpass production goals, specifically maintaining accurate counts of merchandise.
  4. Organize and display products effectively on the sales floor, rotating stock as needed.
  5. Keep the sales area and inventory clean and well-presented to optimize sales opportunities.
  6. Ensure dressing rooms are free from debris and clutter, and manage hangers appropriately.
  7. Comply with all safety and operational policies, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
  8. Assist in loss prevention efforts by reporting theft incidents to management.
  9. Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Performance Expectations:

The Sales Floor Associate is expected to consistently meet production goals, specifically managing a target of 14 racks or carts per day.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, pushing, and reaching.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to foster effective relationships with team members and customers.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Communicate effectively, providing feedback and participating in training as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Physical capability to meet job demands, including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with basic math abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
