Job Overview

The Irrigation Operations Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the irrigation systems assigned to them, programming irrigation controllers, and ensuring that the quality benchmarks set by Prestigious Turf & Landscape Solutions, Inc. (PTLS) are consistently achieved. This role also involves executing irrigation work orders and performing necessary repairs. The Irrigation Operations Supervisor will collaborate closely with both the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and the General Manager (GM) on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Irrigation Management Duties (90%)

  • Ensure that PTLS quality standards are upheld across all designated properties;
  • Establish work pace and guarantee that the team remains focused on tasks;
  • Verify that team members are equipped with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork and minimizes disputes;
  • Complete assigned work orders and service requests efficiently;
  • Communicate requirements for work orders (e.g., materials, scheduling, staffing) with management;
  • Maintain an inventory of tools and materials for the crew;
  • Organize and properly store tools and materials at the yard;
  • Report any equipment issues to the maintenance team;
  • Ensure equipment is clean and maintained in safe working condition;
  • Engage professionally with customers and colleagues.

Administrative Responsibilities (10%)

  • Utilize billing software (e.g., VendorTrax) for tracking punch lists and client communications;
  • Process service requests using VendorTrax;
  • Conduct monthly inventory assessments.

  • Ability to travel to various job sites;
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk;
  • Frequent telephone communication for extended durations;
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, and bending;
  • Lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.;
  • Exposure to low to moderate noise levels.
Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company's Employee Handbook. They should also contribute positively to the work environment by communicating effectively and fostering good relationships with all team members and management.

Education
  • Required: Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills typically associated with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Required: Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Experience
  • Required: Three (3) years of experience in the landscaping industry.
  • Required: One (1) year of experience operating a truck and trailer.
