Job Overview

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily functions of various sectors including Manufacturing, Production Control, Quality Assurance, Metal Fabrication, and Warehousing. This role is crucial in supporting production processes to guarantee timely delivery of products while adhering to quality standards and budgetary constraints. The aim is to minimize waste and enhance product quality, fostering a collaborative environment across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple departments including Safety, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Metal Fabrication, and Warehousing.
  • Implement strategies to significantly lower direct and indirect costs, focusing on enhancing profitability through quality improvements.
  • Establish a systematic approach to operational management, ensuring all departments function safely, efficiently, and within financial limits.
  • Adhere to and advocate for the company's Safety and Quality Systems, including ISO9001 standards, while following established procedures.
  • Ensure the accurate generation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation such as product travelers, work instructions, and acceptance test plans.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies for the manufacturing division to support business growth objectives.
  • Build and nurture a strong management team, ensuring a motivated and skilled workforce.
  • Foster excellent relationships with both internal teams and key external customers.
  • Take ownership of delivering exceptional customer service by anticipating and exceeding expectations, while maintaining up-to-date customer forecast data.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing quality systems and LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Generate and communicate production plans, metrics, and analyses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Contribute to the development of annual operating budgets and strategic plans.
  • Participate in the implementation of the ERP System.
  • Supervisory Duties:

Directly oversees employees, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and addressing employee concerns.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the electronics manufacturing sector.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing-related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in operational management, including cost analysis, assembly line optimization, team development, and strong leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience in Project Management and Quality Assurance.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and ERP systems.
