Job Overview

The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions of the Distribution Center and Home Office. This role involves managing the logistics related to the storage and transportation of products, ensuring efficient operations for the company. The manager leads a team of delivery drivers and logistics staff, focusing on their safety, performance, and overall employment management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Management: Ensure timely and efficient delivery of all products.
  • Oversee freight operations through third-party transportation services.
  • Supervise all warehouse and cold storage activities.
  • Coordinate deliveries to various locations, including managing logistics supervisors.
  • Prepare financial reports for monthly assessments.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the logistics team.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate logistics personnel.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for logistics activities.
  • Maintain proactive communication with other departments regarding delivery statuses.
  • Conduct audits of delivery systems and staff.
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively.

Production Coordination:

  • Collaborate with brewing and packaging teams on production schedules.
  • Manage the delivery of raw materials to the production facility.
  • Ensure safe storage of materials until needed.

Fleet Management:

  • Report incidents related to company vehicles.
  • Ensure accurate reporting to insurance providers.
  • Work with management to schedule vehicle maintenance and replacements.

Event Logistics:

  • Oversee logistics for special events, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain communication with sales and marketing teams regarding event needs.
  • Manage inventory of event supplies and equipment.

Facility Oversight:

  • Manage maintenance and repair tasks for facilities.
  • Act as the primary contact for vendors performing facility work.

Safety Management:

  • Develop and implement safety policies for the Distribution Center.
  • Act as the main contact for workplace injuries, ensuring proper documentation and care.
  • Engage in safety meetings to enhance workplace security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience in logistics or distribution, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with financial software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
  • Valid driver's license and forklift certification are required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent movement throughout the workday. Safety gear is required in specific areas.
