Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Resettlement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating housing arrangements for newly arrived refugees, working closely with our Housing Coordinator and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Housing Coordination: Work collaboratively with the Housing Coordinator to ensure that refugee families have access to safe and affordable housing options.
  • Intake and Case Closure: Develop and implement strategies to engage refugee families, provide them with essential information, and ensure a smooth transition into their new homes.
  • Administrative and Miscellaneous Duties: Manage and maintain accurate records, complete necessary paperwork, and participate in community events as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills are essential, with knowledge of additional languages an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management software is required.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $49,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: Unlimited paid time off, 9 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, employee assistance program, 403b retirement plan with an automatic 5% contribution, and FMLA.
