The Center for Immigrant & Refugee Advancement (CIRA) is a dynamic and innovative nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional refugee services and social work support. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Immigrant Support Manager to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The successful candidate will play a key role in securing safe, affordable housing for newly arrived immigrants and refugees. This position requires strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a deep understanding of the refugee resettlement process.
About the Role
- This position will report directly to the Program Manager and will be responsible for coordinating housing efforts, conducting intakes, and ensuring case closure.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, cultural awareness, and a strong sense of compassion.
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to a personal, insured vehicle are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Housing Coordination: Assist in locating and securing housing in Lincoln for large immigrant and refugee families (4+ members).
- Intake and Case Closure: Explain leasing agreements, housing procedures, and tenant responsibilities to immigrant and refugee families.
- Administrative Duties: Complete Metro Housing Collaborative Referral forms and set up online utility accounts for clients as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree highly preferred.
- Excellent English communication (oral and written) required.
- Proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and data management software required.
Estimated Salary Range: $49,000 - $55,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
