Position Overview
This role plays a vital part in the success of Crescent Services by ensuring exceptional experiences for every member and guest. The Full-Time Room Attendant Supervisor is responsible for the effective oversight of housekeeping operations and staff, guaranteeing that guest accommodations meet our high standards upon arrival.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the department manager in recruiting and hiring skilled Room Attendants, ensuring compliance with all legal and company standards.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and ensure staff training aligns with these guidelines.
- Support the department manager in planning, directing, and supervising the daily activities of housekeeping personnel.
- Allocate room assignments and inspect accommodations to confirm cleanliness and readiness.
- Manage daily workloads for room attendants, providing clear expectations and accountability for service quality.
- Encourage teamwork and ownership among staff, involving them in planning and problem-solving initiatives.
- Promote staff development through goal setting, training, and mentoring to meet both personal and organizational objectives.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms to ensure they are impeccably maintained.
- Hold regular meetings with staff to discuss performance and upcoming business needs.
- Lead pre-shift briefings to communicate daily objectives.
- Perform Room Attendant duties as necessary during peak times or staff shortages.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned efficiently and in accordance with service standards.
- Check for any maintenance issues or guest belongings left behind.
- Report any unusual occurrences to the Manager on Duty.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within the hotel housekeeping sector.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
- Strong time-management skills to prioritize and complete tasks effectively.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or another language is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning property management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capacity to accept constructive feedback and adapt accordingly.
This position involves heavy physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
