The Housekeeping Supervisor is a key member of the Soho House & Co. team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service in our properties. As a seasoned housekeeper with proven leadership skills, you will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to supervise and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas of the property are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Daily Tasks: Ensure that all daily tasks are completed to the highest standards, including the cleaning of offices, concourses, seating areas, washrooms, restaurants, concession stands, suites, and all public spaces.
- Lead by Example: Supervise and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, delegating tasks and breaks throughout the shift, and mentoring team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Inventory Management: Assist with the purchasing, re-ordering, and maintaining of housekeeping supplies and inventory.
- Shift Management: Successfully run shifts on the Housekeeping Manager's days off, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Team Motivation: Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job, following proper escalation procedures as needed.
- Pre-Shift Meetings: Participate in pre-shift meetings to ensure that all team members are aware of their tasks and responsibilities for the day.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular room inspections to ensure that all areas of the property are maintained to the highest standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment, planning for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
- Guest and Staff Services: Coordinate guest and staff laundry services, ensuring that charges are posted accurately and in a timely manner.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety policies are followed, including OSHA and safety standards within the Housekeeping department.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years of previous experience managing a team of housekeeping employees through motivation, coaching, and development.
- Housekeeping Experience: Proven experience supervising housekeeping departments.
- Decision-Making Skills: Capable of using independent judgment and solid decision-making skills.
- Communication Skills: Proven comfort and experience interacting effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele, both inside and outside of the organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with general office PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliability and Attention to Detail: Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
