Overview:
Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) is a dynamic agency that facilitates career and personal development for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Administrative Supports professional to join our team at the Mark D. Elmore Center.
Job Summary:
The Administrative Supports position is the first point of contact for all individuals entering the building and works closely with staff, the public, and individuals served and their families. This role requires multi-tasking, energy, and dedication to providing exceptional support services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering phones, referring calls, and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Greet visitors, maintain safety procedures, and administer access controls in secured environments.
- Perform administrative tasks, including copying, collating, and distributing documents, mail, and other materials.
- Maintain accurate and confidential files, reports, and transactions, and process correspondence and mail merges.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Coordinator to order, inventory, and receive supplies, and track expenditures.
- Assist with safety initiatives, including residential drill audits, recording Elmore Center drills, and serving on the JCDS safety team.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Coordinator to identify and coordinate fleet needs.
- Support fundraising efforts and assist with event planning and travel coordination.
- Provide administrative support for the Day and Employment Director, including sending and tracking releases, setting up trainings, and assisting with sales.
- Coordinate meeting room reservations and administer the lobby kiosk.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of administrative support experience are required. Experience can substitute for education, and education can substitute for experience.
