POSITION OVERVIEW

We are in search of a passionate and driven Senior Scientist to become a vital part of our diverse drug discovery team focused on developing small molecule therapeutics aimed at addressing unmet medical needs. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in medicinal chemistry, excel in rigorous experimentation, and demonstrate the ability to unite a team effectively. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead medicinal chemistry initiatives independently.
  • Design drug candidates to progress hit-to-lead and lead optimization efforts.
  • Develop and implement efficient synthetic pathways for target compounds utilizing advanced synthetic techniques.
  • Contribute to and influence project strategy formulation.
  • Establish a strong network within the multifunctional research team, integrating insights from proteomics, biology, and other areas to guide medicinal chemistry approaches.
  • Present findings at internal meetings.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of data - stay informed on the latest results, engage in brainstorming sessions with the team regarding their implications, and assist in generating new ideas in response.

  • Proven leadership capabilities and a successful track record in all aspects of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, including hit identification, hit-to-lead, and lead optimization.
  • A PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or a related discipline, with a minimum of 6+ years of industry experience, or an MS with 12+ years, or a BS with 14+ years of relevant experience.
  • A demonstrated history of contributions to synthetic organic chemistry (publications, patents, etc.).
  • Experience in managing external chemists and collaborations to meet ambitious timelines is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results with meticulous attention to detail (organized and self-driven).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
