Position Summary

The role involves operating machinery and equipment essential for ethanol production and co-products, including the management of product loading and unloading. You will be responsible for testing and monitoring the entire production process, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. Completion of all required training and skills assessments is mandatory.

Work Schedule

12-hour shifts (8am-8pm); 2-2-3 schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Acquire knowledge of all operational areas within the plant, including:
  • a.) Cooking area from corn grinding to fermentation,
  • b.) Distillation and dehydration processes,
  • c.) Energy center operations,
  • d.) Board operation through distributive control systems,
  • e.) Product handling and testing.
Collaborate effectively with personnel across all areas.Adhere to all standard operating procedures and quality documentation requirements.Inspect incoming grain to ensure compliance with company standards.Coordinate with the QA/QC laboratory to implement quality control policies.Manage the weighing and movement of trucks for loading and unloading.Efficiently load and unload ethanol and other products by railcar and truck.Maintain safety and efficiency during railcar operations.Ensure compliance with all regulations related to product handling.Complete all necessary documentation for products shipped from the facility.Conduct required equipment testing and maintain related records.Utilize CPMS software for work requests and documentation.Collect, analyze, and record sample results from the production process.Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.Ensure the operational readiness of all equipment in your section.Perform routine maintenance checks on rolling stock and document findings.Maintain the cleanliness of the scale house and loading areas.Document any incidents or near-misses accurately.Keep the facility in a condition suitable for tours.Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.Qualifications
  • Previous experience or education in process operations is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Demonstrate high standards to achieve company goals.
  • Complete all necessary certifications and pass required tests.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in ethanol production or chemical processing is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Frequent walking and standing required.
Working Conditions
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequent exposure to dusty environments.
  • Regular exposure to high noise levels.
  • Exposure to chemicals used in the production process.
