Key Responsibilities:
As a Production Operator, you will:
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment essential for ethanol production and co-products.
- Load and unload products delivered to and shipped from the facility.
- Monitor and test the production process to ensure safety and efficiency, adhering to approved policies and practices.
- Complete all required training and skills assessments.
Work Schedule:
This position involves 12-hour shifts (8 PM - 8 AM), working 4 nights on followed by 4 nights off.
Essential Duties:
You will be expected to learn all operational areas of the plant quickly, including:
- Cook Area: Involves corn grinding through fermentation.
- DD&E Area: Includes distillation, dehydration, and evaporation processes.
- Energy Center: Encompasses the regenerative thermal oxidizer, boiler, and water treatment.
- Board Operation: Manage plant processes within set parameters using distributive control systems (DCS).
- Product Handling: Involves loading, testing, and ensuring quality control.
Collaboration with all personnel is essential to maintain quality standards and complete documentation as required.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Previous experience in a process-oriented environment or relevant education.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A commitment to high standards and safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, and chemicals used in the production process.
Salary:
$27/hour plus a $2/hour night shift differential.
