Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Support Specialist to join our team at Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our production operators, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ethanol plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Production Operators: Provide support to our production operators in all areas of the plant, including the loading and unloading of products, testing and monitoring of the production process, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Operate Machinery and Equipment: Safely operate machinery and equipment necessary for the production of ethanol and co-products, including loaders, railcar movers, and other material handling equipment.
  • Support Scale House Operations: Assist with scale house operations, including weighing in and out of trucks, and ensuring accurate records are kept.
  • Perform Grounds Work: Complete all grounds work, including mowing, shoveling, and trash pick-up, to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist with Material Handling: Assist with material handling duties, including the loading and unloading of products, and the maintenance of equipment.
  • Inspect Grain and Products: Inspect grain and products to ensure they meet company standards, and weigh in and out of all trucks to the proper location.
  • Complete Records and Reports: Complete all records and reports related to the products loaded for shipment from the plant site, and submit work requests using the CPMS software.
  • Test and Analyze Samples: Collect, test, analyze, and record results of samples taken from the process, and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform Housekeeping and Maintenance: Clean fermenters, maintain rolling stock, and perform other housekeeping and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Report to Shift Manager: Report to the Shift Manager on schedule, and be available to assist with loading, unloading, and general duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Good Written and Verbal Skills: Possess good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to effectively communicate with team members and management.
  • Ability to Handle Multiple Tasks: Be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities, and work well under pressure.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license, and be able to operate company vehicles safely.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced industrial environment, with regular exposure to dusty conditions, high noise levels, and outside weather conditions. The ability to work safely and efficiently in this environment is essential.
