Position Overview

Messerli & Kramer P.A. is a prominent legal practice located in the Twin Cities, established in 1965. Our firm is recognized for its commitment to client service and effective legal solutions. We pride ourselves on our ability to assist clients in navigating complex legal challenges in both their professional and personal spheres.

We are currently in search of a summer law intern, specifically targeting 2-3L candidates, to join our dynamic team in downtown Minneapolis. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various attorneys across multiple practice areas, including corporate law, finance, business litigation, family law, and real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Drafting: Prepare, revise, and format a variety of legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and corporate resolutions.
  • Corporate Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of essential corporate documents, including annual reports and business licenses.
  • Team Support: Ensure the legal team is equipped with necessary materials for meetings, hearings, and closings.
  • Research and Projects: Conduct research and assist with projects across different departments, including litigation and family law.

  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions from multiple supervisors while also working independently.

  • Possess strong proofreading skills and accuracy in work.

  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of at least two years of law school in Minnesota.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
