About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Life Insurance Internal Wholesaler to join our team at Sons of Norway. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving our sales strategy and roadmap, defining our strategy for IMO/FMO engagement, and leveraging your expertise to create a high-performing sales desk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve our sales goals and define measurements of success.
  • Partner with our internal team members and external sales professionals to achieve results.
  • Monitor wholesale team performance and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Make proactive outbound sales calls, take inbound sales calls, participate in virtual meetings, and occasional large and small group sales presentations.
  • Establish and manage our agency management function (IMO/FMO, independent).
  • Partner with multiple teams, including underwriting, operations, compliance, actuarial, analytics, claims, and legal.
  • Identify and vet potential agents and IMO/FMO agency partners.
  • Help build a culture of innovation and drive our sales vision, strategy, and roadmap.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of life and annuity insurance carrier experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success as an internal wholesaler.
  • BA/BS in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated success influencing others to achieve sales goals.
  • Extensive knowledge of life and annuity products.
  • State insurance licenses.
  • Effective presentation skills.
