Mission Veterinary Partners is looking for a dedicated

Veterinary Assistant

to become a vital part of our team.

We are proud to be AAHA Accredited and Cat Friendly certified, and we are on the path to becoming an official Fear Free certified practice. Our clinic also provides care for a variety of exotic pets, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals.

Our recently renovated, spacious facility is designed to provide a welcoming environment for both our team and our clients. Compensation:

$18-22/hr

Salary increases based on experience.

***$250 Sign-On Bonus***

Clinic Hours:

Mon-Thur: 8am-6pm

Fri: 8am-5pm

Sat: 8am-2pm

Sun: Closed

Responsibilities:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A strong desire to learn and grow within the veterinary field.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasoning, memory, mathematics, and language skills necessary for proficient job performance.
  • Commitment to training in various skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing.
  • Patience and composure in high-pressure situations, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence when interacting with animals.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Deliver patient care under the supervision of a veterinarian.
  • Accurately document all relevant medical, client, and case-related information.
  • Review medical records and discharge instructions with clients.
  • Provide client support by scheduling appointments and processing payments.
  • Assist veterinarians during appointments and procedures, ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients.
  • Answer phone calls in a courteous and informative manner.
