As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting students both within the educational environment and in community settings.

A successful candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of safety, possess the ability to encourage students to engage in their developmental journey, and think holistically about each student's needs. Educational Support Specialists are essential in implementing each student's personalized developmental plan through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

COMPENSATION
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience (based on a 12-month role).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the unique needs of students with special requirements.
  • Assist in delivering tailored instruction and work with small groups.
  • Perform administrative tasks as directed by the educator.
  • Help students with various projects and educational activities.
  • Supervise students during educational outings organized by the teacher.
  • Collaborate with the teacher to develop strategies for reinforcing learning materials based on a deep understanding of individual student needs, interests, and capabilities.
  • Manage and maintain classroom equipment used for instructional purposes.
  • Guide students in mastering tools or materials assigned by the educator.
  • Facilitate the distribution and collection of instructional materials.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
