Position Overview:

The Inspection Support Specialist is tasked with the critical role of managing the Plant Condition Monitoring System (PCMS) database. This includes responsibilities such as data entry, asset replacement within the system, and the establishment of new monitoring locations. Additionally, this position provides essential support to the inspection department by organizing physical files and overseeing the entry and tracking of purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

PCMS Management
  • Conducts data entry for field measurements collected by technicians.
  • Updates the asset registry as refinery equipment is installed, replaced, or decommissioned.
  • Establishes new Corrosion Monitoring Locations (CMLs) as necessary.
  • Generates and analyzes reports using PCMS data.
  • Stays informed on industry trends to ensure PCMS aligns with best practices.
AutoCAD Responsibilities
  • Implements updates in the system based on submitted redline changes or newly installed equipment.
Departmental Support
  • Ensures compliance documentation is accurately stored and organized.
  • Manages and tracks purchase order requests for the department.
Additional Responsibilities:

Conducts safety audits, workflow assessments, and similar evaluations.

Provides general administrative assistance to department personnel.

Undertakes other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of an Associate degree (or equivalent) in Drafting, Business, or a related discipline.

Experience: A minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in refining or a comparable heavy industry, specifically supporting the data entry needs of an inspection or engineering department.

Additional Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail, along with mathematical, data-entry, and analytical capabilities. Must excel in numerical tasks and collaboration within a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage information effectively.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in stressful situations.
