Job Overview:
The Commercial Lines Account Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and tailored coverage to meet their specific business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relationship Management:
    Act as the main contact for clients, addressing their insurance inquiries and needs. Cultivate and sustain robust relationships to guarantee high satisfaction and retention levels. Regularly review clients' insurance programs to confirm adequate coverage.
  2. Policy Oversight:
    Manage the renewal cycle for commercial lines policies, which includes preparing quotes, evaluating coverage options, and negotiating terms with underwriters. Handle new and renewal policies, endorsements, cancellations, and other policy modifications, ensuring timely and precise delivery of documents to clients.
  3. Claims Assistance:
    Support clients in the claims filing process, offering guidance throughout. Collaborate with claims adjusters and other relevant parties to ensure efficient resolution of claims.
  4. Risk Evaluation:
    Assess clients' risk exposures and recommend suitable insurance products and coverage options. Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to provide clients with insights on emerging risks and innovative products.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with producers, underwriters, and internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience. Assist in training and mentoring junior account managers or support staff as necessary.
  6. Administrative Responsibilities:
    Maintain accurate and current client records within the agency management system. Prepare necessary reports and documentation as required by management.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field is advantageous. Relevant insurance licenses (e.g., Property & Casualty license) are mandatory.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of 3-5 years in commercial lines insurance, emphasizing account management. Familiarity with agency management systems and insurance software is essential.
  • Skills:
    Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Capacity to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
