Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
Act as the main contact for clients, addressing their insurance requirements and inquiries. Build and sustain strong relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention rates. Regularly review clients' insurance programs to confirm adequate coverage. - Policy Management:
Oversee the renewal process for commercial lines policies, which includes preparing quotes, reviewing coverage options, and negotiating terms with underwriters. Manage the processing of new and renewal policies, endorsements, cancellations, and other policy modifications. - Claims Assistance:
Support clients in filing claims, providing guidance throughout the claims process. Collaborate with claims adjusters and other relevant parties to ensure efficient resolution of claims. - Risk Assessment:
Evaluate clients' risk exposures and recommend suitable insurance products and coverage options. Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform clients about emerging risks and new offerings. - Team Collaboration:
Work in conjunction with producers, underwriters, and other internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience. Assist in training and mentoring junior account managers or support staff as necessary. - Administrative Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and current client records in the agency management system. Prepare reports and documentation as required by management.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant insurance licenses (e.g., Property & Casualty license) are mandatory.
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, focusing on account management. Familiarity with agency management systems and insurance software is essential.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Capability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
