Your Role:

As a key member of our Retail team, the Retail Operations Supervisor is tasked with crafting a client experience that embodies the essence of our brand while fostering and nurturing strong client relationships and driving sales through exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to client satisfaction, showcasing a profound understanding of, if not a passion for, the luxury, travel, fashion, and lifestyle sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieving Performance Goals:

  • Surpass individual and store baseline targets for personal sales and KPI metrics, including conversion rates, dollars per transaction (DPT), units per transaction (UPT), and client data capture.

Leadership and Initiative:

  • Exhibit strong initiative, planning, prioritization, strategic thinking, and effective change management.
  • Demonstrate pride in work and strive for excellence.
  • Take ownership of performance and complete all assigned tasks within deadlines.

People Development:

  • Training and Development: Assist in training others through consistent roleplay and coaching. Be open to new ideas and concepts while quickly adapting to the role. Support the Store Manager in training and developing store associates. Set quarterly personal development goals.
  • Coaching and Feedback: Clearly communicate strengths, goals, and areas for improvement. Employ critical thinking and solution-oriented approaches. Utilize company tools to foster a comprehensive coaching culture. Be receptive to feedback from supervisors, peers, and team members.
  • Networking and Recruiting: Collaborate with the Store Manager in recruiting and networking to ensure the hiring of high-caliber team members while maintaining a pool of potential candidates.

Communication and Relationship Building:

  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills: Adapt communication style to various audiences.
  • Uphold ethical standards in all job functions.
  • Support organizational goals and adapt flexibly to change.
  • Maintain composure and effectively de-escalate situations.
  • Collaborate efficiently with the team.

Compliance:

  • Assist the Store Manager in managing store schedules, timecards, and payroll.
  • Maintain TUMI University training requirements.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Visual Merchandising/Client Experience:

  • Ensure the store adheres to visual merchandising guidelines and directives.
  • Deliver exceptional client service through the use of client books, thank you cards, and event strategies, ensuring a consistently superior client experience.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehend the TUMI brand and possess a genuine passion for the lifestyle, clientele, and product range.
  • Value a collaborative environment and demonstrate openness to feedback.
  • Ability to stand, move around the store, lift, and push boxes weighing up to 30 pounds, and utilize a ladder as needed.
  • Possess strong sales and client service experience, preferably in the luxury sector.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of meeting sales targets and achieving KPIs.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, mornings, and holidays as required.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of integrity and lead by example.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
