Your Responsibilities

In the role of Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Your focus will be on maximizing sales, upholding store standards, and inspiring your team. By surpassing customer expectations and fulfilling Primark's mission of maximizing joy at minimal cost, you will drive sales to meet targets.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will have the authority to influence daily business operations by managing inventory effectively, responding to customer demand, and maintaining a commercial mindset—understanding trends and adjusting merchandise orders accordingly.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess a minimum of 4 years of retail leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Our Assistant Store Managers typically come from backgrounds as Store Managers or Assistant Store Managers.

You will demonstrate exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams and future leaders.

Being commercially savvy, you should be capable of analyzing reports and guiding teams to enhance commercial performance.

A true leader, you will engage and influence stakeholders while serving as a role model to motivate and inspire a confident and enthusiastic team.

Experience in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining store standards through effective team development, clear communication of expectations, and celebrating successes is essential.

Strong planning and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to adhere to agreed timelines. Experience in managing or supporting resource planning and scheduling is beneficial.

Familiarity with key holder responsibilities, including emergency call-outs and securing the premises, is necessary.

Experience in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace in accordance with EHS and operational policies is crucial.

Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written, are required to provide instruction, coaching, and safety guidance to colleagues and to deliver exceptional customer service.

The compensation range for this position is: $76,000 - $103,000.

This estimate reflects the minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual base pay will consider internal equity and may vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
