Job Overview

Position Summary:

ISI Professional Services is in search of a seasoned Construction Project Manager with extensive experience in the construction sector to deliver Owner's Representative management services for a Department of Defense (DoD) client. This role involves overseeing substantial construction projects exceeding $300 million in value, encompassing a variety of scales and complexities. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive construction management support to the DoD client, collaborating closely with senior government project managers and fellow contractor project managers within a broader construction program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to project ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage 2 to 4 active construction projects, each valued between $5 million and $30 million.
  2. Assist the Government in conducting site assessments, field surveys, and site inspections to evaluate constructability and compliance with regulations. Develop preliminary scopes of work and validation criteria, and participate in pre-bid meetings.
  3. Support the Government in formulating technical specifications, scopes of work, cost estimation analysis, and schedules for architectural and engineering services, including the review of studies, reports, and drawings.
  4. Track construction progress, manage submittals, permit applications, and maintain organized files and invoicing as part of a collaborative team effort.
  5. Independently schedule, lead, and engage in weekly project updates and monthly program review meetings to assess schedule adherence, identify deviations from the established baseline, and evaluate risks to long-term project viability.
  6. Professionally gather requirements and data from other project managers or clients, ensuring timely and complete submissions.
  7. Maintain construction administration records using Excel, web-based tools, and files to compile metrics and briefing materials for senior management.
  8. Develop and monitor project lifecycle milestone schedules and Government activities to ensure the timely execution of the construction program, while assessing schedule risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  9. Regularly prepare and present project status updates, maintain performance metrics, and produce well-crafted technical reports. Deliver written and oral presentations to government leadership and program managers, frequently briefing senior management.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Pentagon Washington Headquarters Services is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, along with fifteen (15) years of relevant construction management experience.

OR

Education may be substituted with an ACTIVE General Contractor/Construction Trades license and 25+ years of construction experience.

  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (HSPD-12 fingerprint background check).

  • Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
