We are seeking a skilled Project Management Specialist to oversee various construction projects. This role involves reporting directly to the President and collaborating with a team of construction experts to ensure efficient project execution using advanced tools such as Procore and Sage Timberline.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ICI construction as a Project Manager
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Certification in Construction Quality Management for Contractors
- Proficient in Unifier and P6 software
- Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with Sage Timberline or similar software and Procore
- Solid understanding of construction contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion, sound judgment, and diplomacy
- Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach and strong follow-up abilities
- Adaptable and capable of managing fluctuating workloads and priorities
- Strategic mindset
Responsibilities:
- Engaging in pre-construction planning sessions and reviewing subcontractor proposals
- Ensuring timely processing of job initiation documents and purchase orders
- Collaborating closely with the Superintendent and on-site personnel
- Developing and updating the construction schedule in partnership with the Project Superintendent
- Reviewing and approving shop drawings
- Managing changes to contracts and purchase orders
- Overseeing estimated cost adjustments
- Handling requests for information
- Coordinating with owners, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Leading meetings with owners
- Reviewing and approving all invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing initial billing breakdowns and managing ongoing monthly billings
- Implementing the Kiwi Newton Group Health and Safety Program and ensuring its integration into trade meetings
- Monitoring job costs and labor reports alongside the Superintendent
- Addressing project deficiencies in collaboration with the Superintendent
- Managing documentation related to project completion
- Participating in Project Completion Analysis with the Superintendent and other team members
- Mentoring project coordinators and support staff consistently
- Assisting in the recruitment of local project personnel
