Construction Site Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
Brasfield & Gorrie, a prominent General Contractor in the Southeast, is seeking skilled, traveling Construction Site Coordinators to join our expanding heavy civil infrastructure and industrial project teams. These professionals will oversee large-scale, multi-million-dollar initiatives in sectors such as road/bridge, water/wastewater, marine, power, and industrial markets.

Essential Duties include:

Assisting the Superintendent with various assigned duties or managing responsibilities for projects without a Superintendent.

Prioritizing safety on the job site and ensuring adherence to company and site-specific safety protocols, as well as all relevant safety regulations.

Collaborating with Estimating, Division Management, and Project Management to oversee and coordinate construction project management, serving as a direct liaison with owners, designers, and subcontractors to facilitate efficient project execution.

Creating and implementing production plans aligned with budgetary objectives.

Supporting the Project Manager in preparing project status updates.

Maintaining responsibility for daily, progress, compliance reports, and logs.

Overseeing the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract specifications and coordinating shop drawings.

Acquiring necessary tools and materials for the project to ensure availability in line with the work schedule.

Determining staffing requirements and timing based on construction methodologies and the availability of tools and equipment for each project phase.

Managing the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of all onsite field personnel in compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Preparing or overseeing payroll submissions to the Payroll Department and ensuring all documentation meets HR and Payroll policies.

Engaging with supervisory staff and employees to address and resolve workforce complaints and grievances.

Collaborating with supervisory personnel, engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to enhance construction methods and resolve project-related issues.

Ensuring compliance with construction schedules by assessing appropriate staffing levels and managing material and tool procurement.

Supervising and coordinating subcontractors to ensure adherence to subcontract agreements.

Upholding and enforcing company policies and procedures.

Coordinating and overseeing regulatory inspections.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience.

Current knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial documents, and legal contracts.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to management, owners, and external parties.

Basic math and computer skills are essential.

A professional demeanor and appearance are expected.

Demonstrated people management skills.

A valid driver's license is required.
