Business Development Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our sales team at Summa Energy Corp. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting, educating, qualifying, and developing leads to create sales-ready meetings and opportunities.
About the Role:
In this role, you will interact with prospects via telephone, video correspondence, and email to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity. You will also disseminate opportunities to appropriate team members, educate them about the opportunity, and effectively handle and overcome prospect objections with confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and qualify leads to create sales-ready meetings and opportunities
- Research accounts and identify key players to generate interest and develop accounts
- Disseminate opportunities to appropriate team members and educate them about the opportunity
- Effectively handle and overcome prospect objections with confidence
- Become a trusted resource and develop productive relationships with prospects
- Update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool and prospect interaction to ensure efficient lead management
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline generating targets to ensure territory revenue objectives and pipeline linearity
- Provide closed-loop feedback to ensure continuous process optimization
Requirements:
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment and maintain professional internal and external relationships
- Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office)
- Sales training experience a plus
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience required
