Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Planning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper inventory levels, making sure we are fully stocked in our online and brick and mortar sales channels. This role ensures there is a smooth flow of information from Sales and Operations to Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Own the accurate planning and on-time delivery of finished goods to our customers.
  • Inventory Targets: Manage inventory targets (including safety stock levels) that are approved by management.
  • Demand Signaling: Support demand signaling, ordering and inventory management of product lines.
  • Supply Chain Management: Identify supply issues, flag to appropriate teams and drive resolution.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Own the analysis and reporting of supply health and ensure stakeholders have what they need to drive decision-making.
  • Forecasting: Apply forecasting principles as it applies to demand planning and its effects on inventory levels and purchasing.
  • Inventory Adjustments: Review and analyze system recommended demand forecast. Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand.
  • Process Improvement: Analyzing, identifying, and implementing opportunities for improvements to the operational processes.
  • Documentation: Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes.
  • Collaboration: Work Cross-Functionally with BDB Operations, Product Development, Marketing, Finance and Sales Teams.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in inventory planning.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office package (specifically Excel).
  • Experience with Apprise (or equivalent ERP system) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory models and metrics.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable capability to analyze and collect data, including cross-reference data validation.
  • Ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
