Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Standards Analysis and Implementation:

  • Evaluate and interpret welding standards from both industry and client perspectives.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to ensure adherence to these standards throughout our global operations.
  • Revise company policies to align with updates in relevant standards.
  • Ensure consistency in standards application across various sites.

Quality Control and Auditing:

  • Perform regular inspections of welding processes and products to verify compliance with established standards.
  • Create and maintain a detailed audit schedule and checklist.
  • Identify compliance issues and collaborate with teams to devise corrective measures.

Training and Development:

  • Deliver training and support to welding teams regarding industry standards.
  • Develop educational materials and programs to improve understanding and application of standards.
  • Assist teams in troubleshooting compliance-related challenges.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Keep comprehensive records of compliance activities, including audit findings and training documentation.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all records are current and easily accessible.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Engage with engineering, quality assurance, production, and other departments to facilitate seamless compliance integration.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients concerning welding standards and compliance matters.
  • Participate in industry forums to stay updated on new developments and best practices.

Weld Process Management:

  • Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Oversee processes including hydrostatic testing, leak checks, and in-process inspections.
  • Maintain adherence to welding and machining standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in welding engineering or a related field, focusing on compliance.
  • Extensive knowledge of international welding standards (ISO, ASME, AWS, SEMI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Work Environment:

  • Position may require working in both office and cleanroom settings.
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform various physical activities.
