Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to play a crucial role within our design team. The projects will encompass data centers, industrial facilities, office buildings, and other significant construction endeavors. This position will require close collaboration with MEI personnel, clients, vendors, and various external disciplines. Site visits may be necessary for project assessments and client consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively advance projects through all phases of design and construction.
  • Design mechanical and plumbing systems specifically for data centers.
  • Supervise the creation of all mechanical designs, systems, and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary design team, project owners, and contractors to produce comprehensive drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and equipment manufacturers.
  • Conduct major equipment selection and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering design, particularly in mechanical systems for data centers or other critical infrastructure projects.
  • Possession of a valid Mechanical P.E. license and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (consideration will be given to Engineering in Training certification).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and energy compliance codes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to achieve long-term goals.
  • Self-driven, comfortable with uncertainty, and eager to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit software.
