Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned, collaborative, and results-driven professional to fill the role of Global Corporate Controller. The successful candidate will possess a robust operational and general accounting background, with experience in public accounting and multinational settings. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee the accounting teams in the US and Europe, managing all technical and operational accounting functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, commissions, cash management, equity accounting, and tax compliance.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements across all accounting functions, leveraging effective system utilization and automation to facilitate scalable performance.
  • Establish relevant cost accounting procedures and insightful reporting to support rapid manufacturing growth.
  • Lead the financial closing process and the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure timely and accurate reporting to leadership.
  • Expand the European accounting team to ensure compliance during multi-country expansion.
  • Collaborate with an outsourced tax provider to guarantee timely US and international tax submissions and establish appropriate transfer pricing strategies.
  • Act as the primary accounting liaison with the headquarters accounting team.
  • Manage a team of approximately 15 accounting professionals (4 direct reports), including recruitment, development, and performance evaluation to ensure efficient accounting operations.
  • Participate in system implementations and enhancements, contributing to the evaluation of future ERP system plans.
  • Conduct preliminary research on accounting issues and special projects, including JSOX compliance, revenue recognition, and impairment analysis.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a CPA license or an equivalent international qualification.
  • An MBA is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • High proficiency in all facets of accounting and financial reporting, including consolidations, management reporting, cost accounting, and technical accounting.
  • Experience in international accounting for companies with multiple foreign subsidiaries, including statutory reporting and intercompany eliminations.
  • Ability to design, implement, and document effective internal controls.
  • Proven expertise in managing accounting information systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, particularly ASC 606 / IFRS 15; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interface with executive management and other business units.
  • Demonstrated management skills with a successful track record in coaching and developing accounting personnel, alongside the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capability to summarize and convey critical information to senior management.
