The Administrative Operations Associate plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the department. This position involves close collaboration with the department Chair and encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Facilitating departmental initiatives, such as academic and recruitment events, faculty engagements, and student organization activities.
- Acting as the primary contact for procurement and purchasing inquiries.
- Engaging with faculty, students, university representatives, and the general public to ensure effective communication.
- Collecting data and preparing detailed reports for departmental use.
- Drafting letters and other correspondence as needed.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
- Responding to inquiries in accordance with established departmental protocols.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the department Chair.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate degree is preferred.
- Experience in a higher education environment is advantageous.
