Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Harris Teeter. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising up to 20 associates in the Produce Department, as well as overseeing the Floral Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise up to 20 associates in the Produce Department, ensuring excellent customer service and high-quality produce presentation.
  • Oversee the Floral Department, ensuring that all floral arrangements and displays meet our high standards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase customer satisfaction and sales in the Produce and Floral Departments.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to associates to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service across the store.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two to three years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a retail or food service environment preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and take initiative when needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
