KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects and material logistics from production to installation, including packaging, tagging, expediting, and fabrication of combined Victaulic and welded spools.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and bills of materials, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Support projects transitioned to the Global Design Center (GDC) by providing necessary feedback and participating in daily coordination meetings.
  • Implement and uphold the procedures and policies of the VDC PM Division.
  • Assist the Sales team in presenting VDC Drawing Quotes as needed.
  • Travel to job sites for accurate field measurements and to engage with clients and Victaulic sales representatives.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives and the Victaulic Quality Improvement Process.
  • Create piping layout drawings, isometric drawings, and spool sheets using Revit or other design modeling software based on customer-provided data.
  • Facilitate project reviews, kickoff meetings, and maintain ongoing communication with clients.
  • Prepare and coordinate the Basic Engineering Package (BEP) for project transfer to the GDC or other VDC offices.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Project Lead regarding the status of all assigned projects and assist in project closure and customer satisfaction assessments.
  • Generate Advanced Bills of Materials and support the customer care department with material delivery requirements.
  • Review incoming projects and prepare VDC Drawing Quotes.
  • Collaborate with VDC Estimating, Specification, and Software Development teams as necessary.
  • Keep the Project Leader informed about the progress of all project milestones.
  • Assist in training Draftspersons, Trainees, and Interns.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate Degree in drafting technology or a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant engineering/design experience is required, with a focus on piping in HVAC or industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with piping specification engineering and pipe support is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of piping software or Revit is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required.
  • Project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and material coordination, are preferred.
